In the beginning was a dog...

The start of fluffysmudge, 

it all began with mr fluffy himself ! aaaawwwww...

i have always been interested in art & crafts, from photography...

( a local lane in infrared )

screen printing, painting, drawing & crafting...

upholstery and cabinet making , renovation, upcycling and rehashing old furniture, designing clothes and garden decorations. so eventually about 7 years ago i came to jewellery ! i had dabbled in jewellery a long time ago when i was a punk ( safety pins & the like ) but this time i found i could combine gemstone and art.

one of my very first designs.

now some one was growing fast and on his very first trip to our local hill, pendle hill,i had the idea of naming this new found hobby of making jewellery.

it took me a few months to come up with the name and as always the name was staring at me in the face ( quite litterally ) 

fluffysmudge was born !

* however reader beware - if you ever feel the need to take up a hobby or as much more likely will happen a hobby just happens to you, this can be the beginnings of the rabbit hole! where all your sanity, common sense and most of all your earnings will dissapear down said hole.

it will be fantastically rewarding on an spiritual level as creating anything is good for the soul even if its not good for the state of bank balance! 

hey you cant take it with you so go on have a go at something new today look where it might take you !
