im not really sure when the jewellery/creativity bug really took hold but im deffo infected big style now !
we are all creative from a young age. you only have to watch kids with crayons or paint or water to see this is the case & it is encouraged no end by every one around them but sadly it drops off shortly after starting school.
how many times have you heard or even heard yourself saying " oh your so creative i wish i could do that "? yep i think we are all guilty of saying that at some point when in reality we all can be amazingly creative.
for a long time now crafting has been looked at as something the young or old do but its not for the inbetween ages. i ask why not ?
crafting can lower stress levels just as much as yoga & at the end of it you will find you have something to show for your effort, a sense of accomplishment & maybe even a new hobby!
i belive for what ever reason the word 'hobby' has rather a negative connotation you imagine images of old ladies making cards or hippys basket weaving & this is simply not true statement, im sure there are lots of old ladies making cards or hippys making baskets and good on them i say! i would love to learn about making baskets, who wouldnt ? there are just as many people in sheds & bedrooms creating beautiful and practical items from drawers - jewellery - pottery - wood crafts - flower arranging - sword making - fixing cars - knitting - painting - photography - sculpting - upcycling that old set of drawers from an auntie that you cant remember , the list is endless & fabulous
A new hobby is great for the soul as well, learning is great, learning can be so much fun. before you know it you could have ditched the day job & turned your hobby into your job ! now how good would that be ? it is possible.
so next time you are bored or exhausted or just feel stressed out take a long bubble bath & let your mind wander to the things you liked to do when you were younger or something you have seen on tv or in a shop or on youtube or pinterest that you would like to have a go at & pick up that paint brush or camera or knitting needles & give it a bash. get out of your comfort zone, you never know it could be the most pivital thing you have done to take your life in a completely new exciting direction.
good luck & come back soon for anuther fluffysmudge blog
have a pawsome day x
